Obviously each game is very different from the others, and like I said, they are all exceptional but I have a preference and I wonder what the general thought here is?ĮDIT: My logic on including Dead Cells, from a reply I posted in the thread: "I debated on whether or not Dead Cells belonged, but after thinking about it even though there is no explicit back tracking and the platforming is weak at best there are still areas of the map that are inaccessible without certain abilities. Of the three Guacamelee 2 is probably my favorite at the moment though I have yet to roll credits yet. The combat leaves a little to be desired, but not as much as the first game and I love the luchador style of it all. The level design here is top notch and some of the platforming is very difficult and demanding, but never in a way that feels unfair. It's smart, funny, and really expands on what the first one was able to do. I'm nearing the end of Guacamelee 2 and I just adore this game. That's clearly not what it's going for, but it's a personal preference. I like the permanent upgrades and different combinations of mutations, powers, weapons, and ranged attacks but I do wish it leaned a little more into platforming.

It's challenging and the enemy varieties make you think about how to approach certain situations.

It's a great game to just pick up and play for 20 or thirty minutes and perfect on my train rides to work with my Switch. I'm still working through Dead Cells, but the combat and roguelike elements are what keep me coming back for this one. He played on Solid Snake's former comradery and friendship, while simultaneously blackmailing him into the Shadow Moses mission. The platforming had moments where it was tough and offered a lot of reasons to go back and re-explore already trod grounds. Former FOXHOUND commander and Colonel Roy Campbell was no stranger to hiding things from his subordinates, and he could just as easily schmooze them into doing what he wanted. The combat was great and difficult at times making sure I was never bored. The world was engaging, fun to work through and, in parts, genuinely creepy. All of these games, in my opinion, are 9's or better but playing through Guacamelee 2 yesterday (almost at the end) I started wondering which I liked best.
